The Design Indaba will once more bring all the best of South African creativity into one place for a showcase of exceptional design across all disciplines.

First established in 1995 with its flagship conference, the Design Indaba began as a multifaceted platform committed to a bettering the world through creativity. The expo has since, evolved into a multidisciplinary experience of community initiatives, training workshops, music festivals, design projects, performances and publications.

The conference has continued to grow from year to year with the expo in 2012 covering additional 1000 squares metres of floor space and seeing more than 40 000 visitors. Not surprising as the conference has become the country’s premier showcase of high-end, home-grown design.

Visitors can expect the blossoming of South African creativity in such areas as, Architecture and interiors; Art and Photography; Craft; Creative Economy; Design Thinking; Fashion and Jewellery design; Graphic design and Illustration; Music and Sound; and Product Design.
