Landmarks in Cape Town

While Table Mountain is undoubtedly Cape Town’s most popular and best-known landmark, there are many other places of interest to visit during your stay, some of which are within easy walking distance of the Taj.

Architecturally, the city of Cape Town has a diverse character and offers many significant sites on which to feast your eyes when walking or driving around the Mother City.

The Cape Town City Hall resonates with history, the site of so many important events in South Africa’s past, and no one can dispute the beauty of Tuynhuys, a part of the Company’s Garden and now the office of the State President. The beautiful Company’s Garden in the centre of the city is also home to the stately Houses of Parliament as well as St Georges Cathedral, which was designed by Sir Herbert Baker and George Masey.
